2021Enjoyable, outstanding experience
We were on the first cruise by Viking Jupiter around Iceland that started on July 13, 2021. The COVID protocol on the ship was outstanding: All had to be vaccinated, including the crew. We were tested daily; wore electronic trackers to facilitate contact tracing; had to wear masks except when eating or drinking; had our temperature checked daily; and the ship was cleaned and disinfected more often than before. There were even two robots that disinfected the ship while we slept. We enjoyed our cruise as usual. Like most, it was liberating and invigorating to travel and be on board again. The service and food were excellent as usual, and passengers all behaved and cooperated. We knew about the natural beauty of Iceland but wondered about touring the towns of 500 to 1700 people in our itinerary. Surprisingly, we enjoyed these tours as much as those in cities like Rome and Florence. We met many nice fellow passengers, and enjoyed this cruise very much.
